New Delhi: Curfew has been announced in Delhi Jamia Millia and Shaheen Bagh while the NIA Raid continues across the country. A curfew has been announced in the vicinity of Jamia Millia University. The Delhi Police claim that the raid is not related to the raid against the Popular Front.
Delhi Police informed that the order declaring Section 144 is not new and was decided 10 days ago. The order signed by the chief proctor of the university informing the students of Jamia Millia about the imposition of 144 is also circulating on social media.
According to the notice, the Jamia Nagar Police has informed that Section 144 has been imposed for 60 days in the Okhla-Jamia Nagar area. Teaching and non-teaching staff and students are advised not to gather inside or outside the campus or hold marches, dharnas, agitations, etc.
