Covid Case increases; Center asks states to increase testing

New Delhi: Because of the increasing spread of covid in the country, the Center has asked the states to increase testing and ensure facilities in hospitals. These suggestions came up during a high-level meeting with state health ministers chaired by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya. The meeting was held in the context of the increasing number of people affected by covid in the last few days.

The Union Health Minister also suggested that the Center and the States should work together to control the spread of covid. In case of an increase in the number of people affected by covid, the facilities in the hospitals should be ensured. Care should also be taken in the proper implementation of vaccination. The states have also been instructed to conduct a mock drill of Covid in health centers on April 10 and 11. The mock drill should be evaluated by state health ministers.
