Chandigarh: Congress MP collapses and dies during Bharat Jodo Yatra Jalandhar MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary died. He collapsed while walking with Rahul Gandhi. The doctor said the cause of death was a heart attack.
Santokh Singh Chowdhury collapsed while participating in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Jalandhar, Punjab in the morning. The incident happened in Phillaur. He was rushed to the hospital in Phagwara but his life could not be saved. The Bharat Jodo Yatra has been suspended following the MP’s death.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge tweeted that Chaudhary’s death is a big blow to the party and the organization.
” Deeply shocked and saddened by the death of MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary. His loss is a big blow to the party and the organization. May his soul rest in peace,” he tweeted.
