New Delhi: Former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in judicial custody. P Chidambaram remanded till September 19. The court accepted the CBI’s demand that Chidambaram is an influential person and should leave in judicial custody. He was remanded to judicial custody until September 19.

Kapil Sibal has pleaded not to release the 74-year-old former Union minister in judicial custody. The court granted bail to P Chidambaram and his son Karthi Chidambaram in the Aircel Maxis case this morning. The Supreme Court dismissed P Chidambaram’s earlier bail plea in the INX media case.
