New Delhi: The central government is set to roll out a universal pension scheme for Indian citizens. The pension scheme will be implemented in a way that will be accessible to those working in the unorganised sector as well. Construction workers, domestic workers and others who are not covered by government savings schemes will also be included in the scheme. Along with this, salaried workers and the self-employed will also benefit.
Currently, the government has implemented several pension schemes including Atal Pension Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana.
