Raipur: 15 people died after a cargo vehicle fell into a canal in Chhattisgarh’s Kabirdham district. Eight people were injured. 14 women and one man died in the accident. The injured were admitted to the hospital. Police officials said the accident occurred when the group was returning in a pick-up vehicle after picking tendu leaves from a forest near Bahpani village under Kukdur police station limits. The vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the ditch. Officials said that after being informed, the police team reached the spot and started the rescue operation.
