New Delhi: Security at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport has been beefed up following a bomb threat. The Delhi Police had received an e-mail stating that Al Qaeda planning to demolish the airport. Security has been beefed up in the wake of this.
Karanbir Suri alias Muhammad Jalal and his wife Sharda alias Hasina are expected to arrive from Singapore on Sunday and carry out the bombing.
After receiving the mail message, the bomb threat assessment committee investigated but found that it was fake. However, security at the airport has been beefed up, the statement said.
