Chennai: 19 people were injured in Jallikattu in Madurai due to a bull attack. The incident took place at Jallikattu in Avaniyapuram, Madurai as part of the Pongal celebrations. 11 of them were seriously injured. They have been admitted to Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital for specialist treatment.
Along with Pongal, Jellikett is mainly celebrated in Tamil Nadu on Mattupongal day. The Tamil Nadu government has made heavy security arrangements.
