Thrissur: The NIA has issued an arrest warrant at the house of Faisal Fareed, the accused in the gold smuggling case, in Thrissur. NIA officials went to the house and issued an arrest warrant.
Indications are that this is the first step in bringing Faisal to Kerala. This warrant will also be handed over to Interpol. He is currently in the custody of the Dubai Police. Days ago, customs officials raided Faisal’s home and found some crucial documents.
No one is at Faisal’s house in Thrissur. Therefore, the Customs inspected the house in the presence of the Village Officer. Authorities obtained the keys from Faisal’s relative near his home. According to reports, Faisal last visited the house two years ago.
