Popular South Indian actor Dhruv Vikram has finally addressed the intense public scrutiny surrounding his personal life. While he refrained from taking names or directly addressing any specific allegations, his statements come at a time when social media is abuzz with speculation linking him to comments made by actress Anupama Parameswaran regarding a toxic past relationship.
Speaking at a recent media roundtable, Dhruv admitted that the constant attention and public opinion do have an impact on him. “If I’m being honest, I can’t say it has never affected me,” Dhruv stated. He emphasized that staying grounded in reality is crucial during such times. “Know who you are, know what you stand for, and protect fiercely everybody that you love and everything that matters to you,” he added, noting that when aligned with truth, public scrutiny can only go so far.
The actor also addressed his minimal presence on social media, explaining that he prefers to stay away from the noise and focus on reading, music, and content editing during off-promotions.
The controversy erupted following Anupama Parameswaran’s candid interview on a YouTube talk show, where she spoke about experiencing two years of narcissistic control in a past relationship. Although she did not disclose her former partner’s identity, online users quickly began linking the statements to Dhruv Vikram, with whom she co-starred in Mari Selvaraj’s upcoming film Bison.
Despite the growing online discussions, neither Dhruv nor his team has issued an official statement regarding the relationship, treating his recent remarks as a broader reflection on managing fame and privacy.
