Thiruvananthapuram: Bus fare has been increased in the state by decreasing the limit of distance. The minimum fare for five km will be Rs 8 per 2.5 km. With a minimum charge, travel distance has been reduced to two and a half kilometers. Earlier, people could travel up to five kilometers for Rs 8. The hike is reportedly only for the COVID period.
