Lucknow: 11 killed in Uttar Pradesh wedding after falling in to well. The dead included children and women. The incident took place in Khushi Nagar. The district magistrate said the slab above the well had collapsed. The families of those who died in the accident will be given compensation of Rs 4 lakh each.
The wedding venue was made by laying a temporary slab on top of the well in the yard of the house. More than 20 people were standing on top of it. Then this slab collapsed and people fell into the well. 11 bodies were also recovered. The injured were rushed to hospital.
