Kochi: The interrogation of the accused including Dileep in the case of trying to endanger the investigating officers in the case of attacking the actress is in progress.
They are being questioned by Crime Branch officials for the third day in a row. The crime branch had planned to summon the complainant director Balachandra Kumar today, the last day of questioning, but it was later dropped. The investigation team says it is not needed in the current situation.
Apart from Dileep, his brother Anoop, brother-in-law Suraj, driver Appu and friend Baiju Chengamanadu will be questioned at the Kalamassery crime branch office. The High Court has directed that the interrogation should end at 8 pm. The accused, including Dileep, were interrogated for 22 hours in the last two days.
The High Court is on holiday as tomorrow is Republic Day. The High Court, therefore, directed that the progress of the case and the details of the interrogation be informed on Thursday. After considering these reports, the court will issue an order on the anticipatory bail of the accused. So today is crucial for Dileep.
