Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has said that the number of patients will increase in the wake of the outbreak of covid in the state. Warning that the number of patients per day may be higher than at present. She said the health department was ready to face the third wave. At present, government hospitals have beds and ICU and ventilator facilities for intensive care. These have not been fully filled. The minister said there was sufficient stock of medicines and asked private hospitals to provide accurate information. She said the cooperation of the private sector in covid treatment would be ensured.
