India extends ban on international flights until September 30

New Delhi: The government has extended till September 30 the suspension of all international flights to and from India amid indications of a third wave of covid in the country. The ban, which continues from March 23, 2021, was due to end next Tuesday.

But according to a new announcement, the ban on international flights in India has been extended to 11.59 pm on September 30. However, the ban does not apply to specially licensed airlines and cargo aircraft. Special flights may be operated to countries that have entered into agreements with India with the permission of the authorities are, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Canada, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iraq, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Maldives, Nepal, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, India has agreements with Emirates, UK, USA, Bangladesh, and Uzbekistan.
