New Delhi: A panel of experts from the National Institute of Disaster Management has forecast a third wave of Covid in India in October. The committee, appointed on the instructions of the Union Home Ministry, reported to the Prime Minister.
The covid wave is expected to reach its peak by the end of October. It is suggested that health systems be set up with this in mind.
Measures should be taken considering the risk of transmission of the disease in children. Adjustments should begin with giving the vaccine priority to children with other health problems. The expert committee report also calls for ensuring the services of pediatricians in all hospitals.
