Kabul: An unidentified gunman opened fire on Afghan security personnel at the airport. A security guard was killed in the shooting. Three people were injured. The German military tweeted that it was unclear who fired the shots. There were also reports of gunfire against US and German forces.
Earlier, Malayalees returning from Kabul had stated that the situation around the airport was critical. Thousands of people are crowded outside the airport. Outside the airport, it is controlled by the Taliban.
