Afghan crisis: India launches fast-track e-visa

New Delhi: India has issued a speedy visa amid a crisis in Afghanistan. India’s new visa regime could benefit those seeking to leave the Taliban-controlled country. The Ministry of Home Affairs has introduced a new visa system called e-Emergency X-Misc Visa.

The Home Ministry tweeted that it was introducing an electronic visa system called e-X-Misc Visa in the new situation. With the Taliban taking power in Afghanistan, many are preparing to leave the country.

Thousands of people arrived at Kabul airport yesterday to leave the country. People had arrived on the runway of the airport and on the top of the planes.
