Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has demolished the office room adjacent to actress Kangana Ranaut’s bungalow. Officers arrived with bulldozers and excavators Wednesday afternoon and demolished the building. Amid the escalation of the arguments between Shiv Sena leaders and Kangana, the Shiv Sena-controlled corporation took the action.
Officials said Kangana’s response to a notice issued by the corporation citing illegal construction was unsatisfactory. The corporation posted a second notice at Kangana’s bungalow this morning.
The corporation had yesterday issued a notice to Kangana Ranaut alleging illegal construction of a bungalow in Bandra.
As Kangana Ranaut’s arguments with Shiv Sena leaders continue, allegations have surfaced that the corporation’s action is an abuse of power. The allegation was also made in the reply given by Kangana’s lawyer.
