Kochi: High Court of Kerala criticizes Kochi Corporation. The HC criticized the Kochi Corporation for the flood situation in Kochi following heavy rains. The court also criticized the Corporation for not doing anything efficiently. The High Court asked why the Corporation was not dissolved by the government. The court also recommended that the government take the initiative. The court also criticized the municipal council when it was considering a case relating to the cleanup of the canal.
There were remarks on the part of the Municipalities Act that the government could, if necessary, dismiss the municipality. The single bench of the High Court criticized the municipality.
