Tiruchirappalli: Five person natives of Jharkhand have been taken into custody in connection with the theft of Tamil Nadu jewelry. They were arrested from Coimbatore.
The robbery took place on Wednesday morning at a branch of Lalitha Jewelry in Tiruchirappalli. Two masked men stole 35 kg of gold and diamond jewelry. The robbery was reported when employees arrived to open the jewelry in the morning. The robbers fled the scene after sprinkling chilly powder to destroy evidence. But CCTV camera footage confirmed the robbery.
