KOCHI: Film director and political personality Akhil Marar has resigned from the Twenty20 party, alleging a complete lack of operational freedom within the organization and stating that he can no longer collaborate with the party leadership.
Following his exit, Marar launched a sharp critique against Twenty20 party president Sabu M. Jacob. He claimed that post-elections, Jacob has stopped responding to his phone calls.
According to Marar, he was initially persuaded to join Twenty20 after being assured a candidate seat in Kottarakkara. However, he alleged that he was later deceived when promised the Thrippunithura seat instead. Marar further criticized Twenty20, stating that the organization operates solely for Sabu M. Jacob’s personal gains.
