Deaths Due to Rabies; Human Rights Commission Orders Investigation

Thiruvananthapuram: The Human Rights Commission has ordered an investigation into deaths caused by rabies. The investigation will be led by a team headed by the Medical Director. The team has been instructed to examine the effectiveness of the vaccine and submit a report within one month.

Recently, three children died of rabies despite receiving the vaccine. The deceased include three girls aged 7, 6, and 13 years from the districts of Kollam, Malappuram, and Pathanamthitta.

The intervention of the Human Rights Commission came in response to this situation.
