Mumbai: 6 dead in lift collapse in Maharashtra The tragic incident took place in Balkam area of Thane district this evening. Six workers died and one was injured when an elevator collapsed in an under-construction building.
According to preliminary information, waterproofing work was being done on the roof of the recently completed 40-storey building. The accident happened when the workers were coming down after work.
