Central government to stop kerosene production

New Delhi: The Center is ending kerosene production in the country.  It has been decided to stop production completely within two years.  The announcement was made by Food Minister GR Anil after a meeting with the Secretaries of the Ministry of Public Supply and Petroleum.

 After a meeting with the secretaries of the Ministry of Public Supply and Petroleum, Food Minister GR Anil released the decision of the Central Government regarding the production of kerosene in the country.  The central government has decided to end the production of kerosene in the country.

 Food Minister G R Anil said that it has been decided to stop production completely within two years.  He said that the Center has also informed that the subsidy allocation for Kerala will not be increased.  The minister stated that the kerosene required for Kerala was cut by fifty percent in the last quarter and when it was requested to restore it, the reply was that it would not be possible.
