Taliban officials were trained in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Three Taliban officials were killed in the accident.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense confirmed the news about the accident. Afghan Defense Ministry Spokesman Inayatullah Khorasmi said that the American Black Hawk helicopter that flew for training crashed inside the National Defense University campus due to a technical problem. It was also confirmed that five people were injured in the accident.
After taking over Afghanistan a year ago, the Taliban took control of some US-made aircraft. It is unclear how many are currently operational. There were reports that the hardware of some military aircraft was deliberately damaged while the US troops were returning from Afghanistan. But after the takeover, US warplanes and other vehicles were seized and used by the Taliban.
