Police arrested in Sri Lankan native in Trivandrum

Thiruvananthapuram: Sri Lankan native youth held in Thampanoor in Thiruvananthapuram under suspicious circumstances. Maluk Juth Milkon Diaz was arrested by the police. Police say the man has no identity cards or travel documents.

He is being interrogated by Special Branch Officers and Central Intelligence Agency officials. According to his statements, he is hailing from Tamil Nadu. A train ticket from Varkala to Nagercoil has also been found. The police said that the youth’s linguistic speeches interrupting the questioning.

Bhubaneswar: The fani cyclone makes massive damages in Odisha. The hurricane hit Puri at eight in the morning at a speed of 200 kmph. Six people have already died. The houses were demolished. Trees are uprooted. Electricity connections were severed in many places.

This is the biggest hurricane facing Odisha since 1999. Before the windstorm arrived, it was widely known in the rainy season.

Apart from Odisha, there are alerts in Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal Tamil Nadu. There is also heavy rainfall on the coastal Andhra and Bengal coast. It is believed that the winds in the northwest direction will reach Bengal in the immediate aftermath.

Ishrat Jahan fake encounter case: Special CBI court discharges former police officers

New Delhi: The Special CBI court has canceled the charges against former Gujarat Police D G Vanzara and N K Amin in connection with the fake encounter case of Ishrat Jahan. The special CBI court also ordered to stop all punishment against them in connection with the case. The court decided to discharge them after the Gujarat government not granted permission to prosecute of both of them.

The petition filed by DIG Vansara and SP Amin considered the court. Meanwhile, Ishrat Jahan’s mother, Shameema Kausar, argued in the court that they were not innocent and unlawful for discharging of Vasari and Amin. But this argument was not denied by the court.

Vasara was the Gujarat anti-terrorism squad chief. NK Amin was the one who worked under him. The fake encounter was carried out in 2004.

Cyclone Fani:81 Trains Cancelled

As many as 81 trains have been canceled due to the alert of Fani cyclone. According to weather forecasting department, in the 19 districts including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal, the cyclone could intensify in the coming days.

Railway has informed that the cash would be refunded if they canceled the booked ticket within three days. The divisional railway managers have been advised to pass the information on canceled trains at all the major railway stations. Railways said it has taken steps to provide assistance to passengers.

Howrah-Chennai Central Koramangala Express, Patna-Ernakulam Express, New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express, Howrah Hyderabad East Coast Express, and Bhubaneswar-Rameshwaram Express have canceled some of the major trains. Railway especially suggested that railway employees should be alert on 24 hours for passengers. The Railway has also provided a 24-hour helpline number for travelers.
