•ONE WORD: A worth watch romantic drama.
DETAIL REVIEW:
Dil Bechara unfolds the life of Maany and Kizie Basu who are cancer patients for years. One day both of them meets accidentally at their college and started to get closer. Soon they fall in love but their Cancer makes some unexpected turns.
Love can’t be explained by words, it’s a feel and a unique world where two soul lives, just like that Dil Bechara is a movie which portrays the beautiful life of two souls who fall in love again and again. Dil Bechara is all about true affectionate love, a story based on ’The Fault In Our Stars’. The movie is directed by Mukesh Chhabra who is well know casting director, along the story and screenplay is written by Shashank Khaitan and Suprotim Sengupta.
Dil Bechara has both good and small bad elements, to begin with, the story and is simply great. The plot is all about the beautiful world of two lovers, one can see and feel what their love is. The story was having pure contents of true romance along with many kinds of human emotion which were elegantly written. But sadly that particular brightness was not seen fully in the screenplay.
The collective factors of love, sentiments, friendship, parenthood and separateness were genuinely made up in the story but when it comes to the screenplay some of these mentioned factors had lost its authenticity. The beginning was perfect, the movie maintained its neat momentum till the first half but after the second half, the movie started to get little off-balance. Again from the mid-second half, the movie gets shattered and the rushed way of the ending was not completely satisfying.
Therefore, the promising first half gets slightly deflected by the mediocre screenplay of the second half. The good mood of romance which seen in the first half was missing in the second part. The direction of Mukesh Chhabra was good and it was according to the plot and the making was passionate, the only thing which I felt wrong in his side was his making of climax. He should have been focused in a better climax and could have been made it more enthusiastic. Also, the ending is predictable but that’s not a major issue how they had concluded the movie is the issue. I am still l wondering why the writers had opted to end the movie so fastly, makers should have invested more time for a better and pleasing ending.
What I liked most in the screenplay was the characterization of every actor and the writing of dialogues. Every character in the film was prominent and never felt any sort of confusion with their premise. All their life was written brilliantly with the correct mix of emotions. The dialogues by the writers need a special mention because every conversation lead by the characters in the film was outstanding especially when it comes to the emotional scenes. The dialogues were keen and observant and one could contrive with its atmosphere moreover the words coming out from the characters at emotional scenes convey the right sincere bond of relations. In the movie, there is a sentimental scene between Sushant and Saswata Chatterjee which describes various circumstances of difficulties in life, that particular scene was having a truly natural tone and it was all because of the powerful dialogues. Similarly, the dialogues at the romantic scenes were also touchy with the right adding of gratifying words which will lead in realising their love.
Coming to the performance Sushant Singh Rajput as Immanuel Rajkumar Junior also is known as Manny did an incredible job. I was speechless by seeing his performance, the transformation to various emotions at a time was delivered dazzlingly without a single error. His emotional scenes at the climax were amazing which will leave tears in viewers eyes. Also, his romance was beautiful with an adorable style which will be remembered forever. Sanjana Sanghi as Kizie also did an extraordinary job. She has undertaken her character perfectly and the manner of a cancer patient was conveyed flawlessly. Her emotional scenes were sentimental and the combo scenes with Sushant was so enjoyable to watch. Sahil Vaid performance was first class, his timing in situational humour was good and also scores at emotional scenes, especially at the climax. The supporting actors Saswata Chatterjee and Swastika Mukherjee did complete justice to their respective characters. The fondness of sincere parenthood was seen thoroughly in their performance. The cameo appearance of Saif Ali Khan as Abhimanyu Iyer had surprised.
The technical side of the film was great on every aspect. It’s yet another lovely musical work by legendary A.R Rahman. Looking into his unique style of composition the songs had turned out amazing. Every song was perfect according to the plot and the heart felting songs play a crucial role in retaining the soul for the film.
Among the various songs, ’Taare Ginn’ sung by Mohit and Shreya was melodious, the tunes with its wonderful visuals had given the real manner of pure love. Also, the song ’Khule Jeene Ka’ had given the sensation of fell good manner with a mix of romance, also the voice of Arjith and Shashha was lovely to hear. The track ’Dil Bechara’ was superb with its tune and beats, also A.R Rahman’s voice did a precise match to set the scenarios. The song ’Mashkari’ was nice because of its beat and change of rhythm, also the Sunidhi’s voice was refreshing and the song had matched the funny scenarios. The track ’Main Tumhara’ was lovely and an elegant feel of romance was felt when he listening to it. For romantic dramas, the background score has a crucial role in strengthening the feel so the BGM tuned by A.R Rahman was fascinating. All the background score was matched for every scenario. I like the background tunes especially at the climax, also the BGM at emotional scenes had matched for passing out the feelings.
The cinematography by Satyajit Pande was gorgeous with many attractive frames. The nature shots and the frames of Paris were glorious to watch. The lighting used in night shots and indoor scenes was intact and accurate with an error. The close up frames of central characters at both romantic scenes and emotional scenes were captured amazingly. The editing by Aarif Sheikh doesn’t give any kind of trouble in viewing, the cuts were perfect without any mismatches. The choreography of Farah Khan for the song ’Dil Bechara’ was stunning with dazzling steps and Sushant did perfect moves to make it special.
So overall to conclude Dil Bechara is an emotional movie which offers pure romance that can leave tears to our eyes. The movie won’t disappoint anyone and worth watch choice to watch with our loved ones. The movie has a mirroring to Sushant’s actual life and Dil Bechara is a perfect tribute for him. Time has taken the gifted actor, let his soul rest in peace.

The announcement was made by Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Twitter.

Earlier this month, it was announced that it would invest $ 1 billion to expand its iPhone manufacturing network in India.
Kochi: The NIA team will question former IT secretary M Sivasankar again in the gold smuggling case. Shivashankar was directed to appear at the NIA’s Kochi office on Monday.
On Thursday, the NIA had questioned Shivashankar at the police club at Peroorkada in Thiruvananthapuram. The interrogation started at 4 pm and ended at 9 pm.The NIA is looking into the whereabouts of Swapna Suresh, Sarit, and Sandeep, who were arrested in connection with the smuggling of gold in diplomatic luggage to the UAE consulate. The customs team had earlier questioned Shivshankar on the matter.
Jaipur: Sachin Pilot has been involved in legal battles and dramatic moves in court amid political dramas in Rajasthan. The High Court adjourned its judgment after considering a last-minute petition filed by the opposition seeking the Center to join the party as the case was related to disqualification. The High Court has ruled that action should not be taken against 19 dissident MLAs, including Pilot, until the verdict is announced. It is not uncommon for a verdict to be postponed in the case where it was due to be pronounced.
The Pilot has filed a fresh petition in the court just moments before the verdict on Pilot’s petition against the speaker who issued the disqualification notice. Pilot’s latest plea was that the central position was crucial in the case as it relates to the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution and should be heard. The court agreed that it could be heard through extraordinary proceedings.
This is a matter related to the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution. This raises the question of the very existence of the Tenth Schedule. So Sachin wanted the Center to listen to him. The court asked the ASG to know what the central position was and who would come to argue for the center. It is learned that ASG is currently communicating with the Center regarding its position.
There are several crucial things to know, including whether the central government’s case will be heard today in connection with the case. The Solicitor General himself is likely to appear on behalf of the Central Government as he has raised a constitutional issue. If so, the court will have to set another date for hearing the Centre’s arguments. In short, it means that the verdict will be delayed.
At the same time, legal experts point out that the Supreme Court itself has given a detailed ruling on the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution. Many legal experts are asking what it means to hear arguments in this case, replacing the verdict in the case that was to be pronounced.
With this, Pilot has extended the time to make political moves. The Rajasthan High Court has been debating the issue for the past one week. Senior legal experts appeared for both parties.
Nineteen MLAs, including Sachin Pilot and two ministers, were absent from the assembly meeting convened twice by the Congress. The Speaker sent a notice to them pointing this out. The reason was to show cause if the disqualification was not to be ordered. The speaker gave the rebels three days to respond. However, the Pilot went to court claiming that the Speaker did not have the authority to send such a notice in the absence of the Assembly. The MLAs also argued that the Speaker’s action in disqualifying them from resigning from a party would not stand.

•ONE WORD: A movie that keeps losing its track from the beginning, strictly average.
•DETAIL REVIEW:
French Biriyani deals with a group of gangsters who are looking for baggage, in-between a French foreigner Simon who will be mistaken as a carrier and an auto-rickshaw driver Azgar gets involved with the missing baggage. Rest of the story unfolds various incidents happening to find the baggage.
No doubt the direction held by Pannaga Bharana was exceptional but unfortunately not extraordinary when it comes to the story and screenplay. Looking into the plot one can realise that the storyline is simple but while watching the movie it’s evident that the whole making is not that easy like the story, his direction was truly vigilant and stunning, to make it more clear the entire making was passionate.
The story written by Avinash Balekkala is simple which had all the factors for a fun-oriented film but whatever the screenplay was mediocre. The story comprises plenty of several characters which demands many factors for various ongoing situations and those situations are the components which lead to unfolding the film, sadly most of the written incidents doesn’t create an impact or influence to impress the viewers.
The subplots and the character development was not that accurate according to the plot. When looking into the basic storyline the subplot situations were dragged and some scenarios were felt unwanted also at some point the viewers may get confused about many occurring situations. The ensuing scenes of coincidence and unexpected happenings of events seems amateurish because it was felt like the writer is compelling the viewers to think as per his thoughts which were unbearable.
The major drawback I felt in this movie is its screenplay. The inexperience in writing was felt from the middle. The targeted factors of making humour with the mix of a thriller backdrop had given an unsatisfactory feel. Many of the circumstances lack depth and similarly continuity to further heading scenes specifically to the climax has a clear shortage of believability. The script was having the capability of creating various kind of emotions especially friendship and sentiment but woefully none of these was not established. While watching I was expecting a wonderful friendship between the two main characters ( Asgar and Foreigner Simon) but sadly that kind of pure friendship was not used effectively.
Even though the movie suffers from its poor screenplay and predictable storyline the making and direction held by Pannaga Bharana deserves mention. The direction stood favourable and hasn’t lost its grasp; even though the story and screenplay resulted in average the making style is satisfactory, he had sincerely maintained the momentum. If he had involved and put more effort into the screenplay the final result would have been different. The dialogues were written down sharply particularly for the situational comedies. Majority of the humour conversation had worked out to pass out a laughable time.
The director had also succeeded in choosing the right cast; the performance of every major character was impressive. Danish Sait as Asgar had delivered a terrific job, his entire performance was incredible especially when it comes to the situational comedies. Another notable performance was from Sal Yusuf who handled the character called Simon. His innocence, comedies and various emotions of sentiments had brilliantly worked out. The combination scenes of Danish Sait and Sal Yusuf were pleasing to watch. Both of the heroines Disha Madan as the news reporter and Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy as Rahila did a noteworthy performance. Rangayana Raghu as the Sub Inspector of Police was hilarious, his situational comedies we’re fun to watch also R.J. Vicky as Blacky and Pitobash Tripathy as car driver did complete justice to his character.
The musical work composed by Vasuki Vaibhav was outstanding. The songs tuned by Vasuki had helped the movie to get into a terrific level. The title rap song “The Bengaluru Song” was superb with its stunning lyrics and the vocals of Adhiti Sagar was amazingly match to the beats also the rap lyrics of Vaibhav and Avinash Balekkala was flawless to set the scenarios of Bengaluru. The song ”Hogbitta Charles” was also good and the group singers had made a great job. The song “Fakrudeen” was fine and had synced to set the chasing scene. The background scores were excellent, throughout the movie to maintain the impact of the plot the background score had genuinely helped the viewers to engage within the film. The background score at the comedy scenes was fabulous also the BGM tunes at the situational humour area had worked out well. Also several BGM tracks at the crucial areas of the when especially towards the climax was tracked faultlessly.
A sublime work was held by Kharthik Palani who handled the cinematography. The frames of Bengaluru City especially the street Shivaji Nagar was captured charmingly. All of the chasing scenes were glorious and the lighting used for indoor scenes deserves a special remark. After watching the trailer I was shocked to see the poor editing but in the movie the entire editing work was superb, none of the scenes was having any kind of mismatches.
Therefore to conclude French Biriyani had given me an average viewing experience, the beginning was promising but eventually get flattened by its predictable plot and weak screenplay. So overall French Biriyani is not a kind of movie which is meant for everyone but still, those who are fond of slapstick kind of genre French Biriyani may be an ok choice.
