Jammu: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will file a charge sheet in the Pulwama attack case in the NIA court in Jammu today. 40 CRPF personnel was martyred in an IED blast on February 14 last year. The agency is filing a 5,000-page charge sheet in a Jammu court detailing how the planning and execution of the worst terror attack in Kashmir took place from Pakistan.

In February last year, a suicide bomber struck a car loaded with explosives, killing at least 40 soldiers. The NIA had informed the court in July that the seventh accused, Bilal Ahmed Kuche, had been arrested on July 5.

Kuche, who lives in Hajibal, Kakapora, and Jammu and Kashmir, said he runs a timber mill in his area and provided logistical support and expansion to Jaish-e-Muhammad (JM) militants involved in the Pulwama attack. The main culprits in the case stayed at his home, and Kuche introduced them to other ground workers (OGWs). He also provided high-quality mobile phones to JM militants to communicate with the Pakistan-based JM leadership. He gave the final touches to their planning and execution of the attack.

He used one of his mobile phones to record a video clip of militant Adil Ahmed Dar. The video was widely circulated on social media after the attack.

Permission to visit Padmanabhaswamy temple; 35 people at a time

Thiruvananthapuram: The public will be allowed to visit the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple from Wednesday. People will be allowed to enter from 8 to 11 in the morning and from 5 to 6 in the evening. Admission will comply with COVID criteria.

23 crore tax evasion: IIPM director arrested

New Delhi: Arindam Chaudhary, director of the Indian Institute of Planning and Management, has been arrested for tax evasion. Chaudhary has been arrested for tax evasion of Rs 23 crore.

Chaudhary was arrested by the Central Goods and Services Commissionerate under Section 89 of the Finance Act, which imposes fines for non-payment of service tax.
