Unknown disease in Uttar Pradesh; The death toll rose to 68

Lucknow: Another death has been reported in Uttar Pradesh due to an unknown disease. Another 12 children have succumbed to the disease in recent days. With this, the number of deaths due to an unknown disease rose to 68 within a week. Most of the dead children were between 8 and 15 years old. Health officials said some of the dead showed symptoms of dengue fever.

The patients had various symptoms such as dehydration, high fever, and low platelet count in the blood, according to the health department.

Numerous cases have been reported in districts including Agra, Mathura, and Mainpuri.

Meanwhile, the situation at Firozabad Medical College remains critical. Of the 135 children being treated at the medical college, 72 are reported to be in critical condition.

The health department is working hard to trace the source of the disease, but it is worrying that it could spread to more people, said Hansraj Singh, medical superintendent in Firozabad.

Thiruvananthapuram: The Plus One model test will start today. The examination will be held at 9.30 am. Question paper 9 will be available through the portal. Kannur: A woman committed suicide at her husband’s house following domestic violence. Sunisha (26), a resident of Payyannur Korom, committed suicide. The incident took place last Sunday. In the evening, Sunisha was found dead at her husband Vijeesh’s house. Following this, Sunisha’s family members alleged that her husband’s harassment was the reason for her suicide.

Sunisha and Vijeesh got married a year and a half ago. After this, her parents were estranged from Sunisha. After the marriage, Vijeesh and his family members harassed Sunisha. When the torture became unbearable, Sunisha informed her mother’s sister.

Subsequently, the relatives tried to see Sunisha several times but the husband’s family refused to show up. Later, Sunisha’s parents complained to the police against Vijeesh’s family. However, the police did not take any action and called the two family members and tried to reconcile them. It was after this that Sunisha committed suicide.

11 killed in jeep-truck collision in Rajasthan

Jaipur: At least 11 people have been killed in a road accident in Rajasthan. The jeep collided with a truck in Nagaur near Bikaner. Seven people were injured in the incident.

The accident took place on the Bikaner-Nagaur National Highway, the Sree Balaji Police Station Officer said. All were admitted to the district hospital in Bikaner.

Police said the body would be handed over to relatives today after postmortem. The vehicles were speeding on the national highway, collided.
