Tovino’s new film, Minnal Murali directed by Basil Joseph, has been receiving a lot of attention since the day it was announced.

The film will be released on Netflix. Stream on Netflix from December 24. There is a superhero element in every scene of MinnalMurali. Basil had earlier said that the film manages to deal with human emotions a little more primarily and that superheroism is just an X factor in it. Minnal Murali is the second film to be directed by Basil with Tovino in the lead role after ‘Goda’. ‘Minnal Murali’, the first superhero film in Malayalam, has been an active project of film lovers since its announcement. Apart from Malayalam, the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
‘Marakars’ are no longer needed in theaters, discussions are over? Feuok
Kochi: Feuok says theaters no longer need to release Marakar. Vijayakumar, the president of Feuok, said that all discussions related to the Marakkar film have ended.
It remains to be seen whether this will affect the upcoming Mohanlal films like Arat, Twelfth, and Bro Daddy. Antony Perumbavoor may be compelled to provide these except for OTT. Feuok president Vijayakumar has said that he does not want to release Marakkar in theaters.
Swapna granted bail in gold smuggling case
Kochi: Swapna Suresh, first accused in a gold smuggling case, granted bail. Bail was granted by the high court in the NIA case. Eight people, including co-accused Sarith, Rabins, Mohammad Shafi, and MA Jalal, have been granted bail.
Rabins, Shafi, and Ramis will remain in jail until the end of the cofeposa case. All except them will be released from jail soon. The NIA told the court that the case was of international standard. The NIA also said that people with high connections were involved in the case.
Swapna was released on bail a year after her arrest. She had earlier been granted bail in Customs and ED cases.
Road blockade by Congress activists in Vyttila without permission; DCC President First Accused
A case has been registered against the Congress leaders in the vehicle blocking agitation held in Kochi last day against the increase in fuel prices. Fifteen leaders, including the DCC president, have been named in the case. DCC president Mohammad Shias is the first accused.
The strike took place on the Vyttila National Highway. The national highway was blocked without permission. The FIR was registered by the Maradu police on charges of obstructing people.
VP Sajeendran, Deepti Mary Varghese, Tony Chammini and Dominic Presentation are also on the list. A case has been registered against about 50 people.
Sabarimala pilgrimage; Pilgrimates need to carry one certificate: New Exemptions
Ayyappa devotees visiting Sabarimala have been granted exemption from the covid safety norms issued by the Health Department.
For Ayyappa devotees who book through the virtual queue system and visit Sabarimala, a two-dose certificate of covid vaccine or an RTPCR negative certificate within 72 hours will suffice. Travancore Devaswom Board President Adv. Vasu made this clear. An earlier order issued by the health department had asked the devotees to have both.
Rs. 91 crores was repaid to the Maradu flat owners
Kochi: Rs. 91 crores has been refunded to the owners of Maradu flats which were demolished following the finding that they had violated the Coast Protection Act. Of the Rs.120 crore Rs. 91 crore was paid to the owners of the flat. The proceedings are progressing under the supervision of the Justice Balakrishnan Nair Committee appointed by the Supreme Court. Out of 272 flat owners eligible for cash, 110 have been paid in total. The government had earlier paid interim compensation to the flat owners.
The rest of the money after deducting this amount went back to the owners from the flat builders. The builders of the Holy Faith and H2O flats are yet to pay. The property of these manufacturers who defaulted on the refund will be sold and refunded to the owners. It is hoped that the payment will be made within four months. The interim compensation paid by the government will also be deducted from the owners and paid to the government. The government wants to recover the Rs. 3 crore spent by the government for the demolition of the flats from the builders themselves. The matter is under the consideration of the Supreme Court. The panel, headed by Justice Balakrishnan Nair, comprises retired Chief Secretary K Jose Cyriac and retired Chief Engineer R Murukesan.
The High Court did not accept Anupama’s habeas corpus petition
Kochi: The High Court did not accept Anupama’s habeas corpus petition in the adoption controversy. The court ruled that the family court was taking action in the case. The High Court said it was not intervening in the case.
The High Court said there was no need to intervene in the case before the family court. The court also ruled that the habeas corpus petition could not be withdrawn. The court also ruled that the Child Welfare Committee has the power to conduct DNA testing. The High Court allowed time to Anupama to withdraw the petition.
Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh arrested in money laundering case

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been arrested after a 12-hour interrogation. Anil Deshmukh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case. He will be produced in court today. Earlier, ED had sent notices several times but Anil was not present. His plea to the High Court against his subsequent summons was dismissed yesterday.
The case alleges money laundering through fake trusts and others. Evidence against Anil Deshmukh has also come to light in a case of money laundering by the police while he was home minister.
