Seven days home quarantine for all international travelers: Minister Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has said that as per the central guidelines, a compulsory home quarantine will be introduced for 7 days for all travelers coming to the state from foreign countries.

The RTPCR test will then be performed on the eighth day. Omicron has been confirmed for a total of 280 people in the state. Of these, those from low-risk countries were the most affected. Omicron affected 186 people from low-risk countries and 64 from high-risk countries. Thirty people contracted the disease through contact. Self-monitoring was previously allowed for those coming from low-risk countries. The state had also demanded that most of those coming from low-risk countries also need home quarantine as Omicron has been confirmed. He said the home quarantine system would be tightened as per the central guidelines.

RTPCR checks passengers arriving at the airport for high-risk and low-risk countries. The RTPCR will test all those coming from high-risk countries. If negative, home quarantine should be done for 7 days and an RTPCR test on the eighth day. If negative, self-monitoring should be continued for another 7 days. Samples of those who become covid positive will be sent for genetic testing. They will be subjected to isolation. Treated according to standard protocol and discharged as directed by the treating physician.

The central guideline is to randomly test the samples of 2% of people from low-risk countries. But 20 percent of the samples in the state are randomly tested. Those who become negative should stay in the home quarantine for 7 days. The RTPCR test should be performed on the eighth day. If negative, they should be monitored again for 7 days. Samples of those who are positive are sent for genetic testing. They are treated according to standard protocol. Repeated check-ups during quarantine or self-monitoring for any symptoms or covid positive.

NEET PG Admission: Permission for EWS reservation

New Delhi: Supreme Court allows EWS reservation in NEET PG admission. The Supreme Court has directed that 10% financial reservation and 27% OBC reservation will be implemented this academic year.

The Supreme Court said it would examine in detail the constitutional validity of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS)s reservation. It was agreed that the annual income limit for EWS reservations would be Rs. 8 lakhs.

The verdict is a relief to both resident doctors and the central government. Resident doctors had told the court that there was a shortage of doctors in hospitals because the PG admission process was withheld NEET P.G. The Central Government had sought permission to conduct counseling.

The Central Government has introduced a 10 percent reservation in the NEET All India Quota for the economically backward among the advanced. The petitioners allege that setting the annual income limit for financial reservation at Rs 8 lakh was a unilateral move. 27% OBC. New Delhi: The deadline for linking PAN cards with Aadhaar has been extended to March 31.

From April 1, 2022, your Permanent Account Number (PAN) card will be deactivated if not linked to your Aadhaar card.
Pursuant to Section 139AA AA of the Income Tax Act, every person who has PAN on July 1, 2017, and is eligible to receive Aadhaar should link PAN with Aadhaar.

PAN cards not affiliated with Aadhaar will be declared inactive by the due date. A fine of up to Rs 10,000 can be levied for failing to provide PAN card details each time. This is under Section 272B of the IT Act.

At the same time, one can have only one pan. Obtaining or possessing more than one PAN card is illegal and can result in a fine of up to Rs 10,000.

Therefore, it is advisable not to carry or hold more than one pan.

Covid: National Capital tightens Restrictions
