Pallanwala: The Indian Army has procured the latest sniper rifles from Finland for troops on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

These are Sako 338 TRG-42 rifles. Senior officials said the new sniper rifles have better range, firepower, and foresight than their rivals.

Soldiers on the Line of Control have been trained in new rifles. The aim is to strengthen the army.

Between 2018 and 2019, there were several incidents of covert attacks. This prompted the recruitment of the best sniper rifles in the army and the training of soldiers for it.

The Sako rifles replaced the Beretta’s 338 Lapua Magnum Scorpio TGT and Barrett’s .50 caliber M95 rifles, which were added to the Indian Army in 2019 and 2020. The Sako TRG-42 is a bolt-action sniper rifle designed and developed by Finnish gun manufacturer Sako.

The rifle is designed to fire powerful .338 Lapu magnet-sized cartridges. Weighing in at 6.55 kilograms, this sniper rifle has a range of 1,500 meters. It is considered one of the most accurate and reliable weapons in the world.

A team of 10 snipers selected from Army units and regiments has been selected to use the new rifle, a senior Army official said.

New Delhi: Fuel prices have risen for the fourth day in a row in the country. Petrol price has been hiked by 32 paise per liter. Diesel price was hiked by 37 paise. In seven days, the fuel price has gone up by more than Rs 4.5. The price was also increased at midnight yesterday. A liter of diesel was hiked by 58 paise and petrol by 55 paise yesterday. In Mumbai, petrol is priced at Rs 114.19 and diesel at Rs 98.50.

In Delhi, petrol is currently priced at Rs 99.41 per liter and diesel at Rs 90.77 per liter.

New Delhi: International flights have been resumed following the cancellation of covid.  The Central Government has given permission to operate the service with 100% passengers.

The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has lifted the covid defense restrictions imposed on airports and inside aircraft.  With this, the airlines will be able to allow passengers in the vacant seats in the planes.  The government also said that 3 seats should not be vacated for emergencies.  Passengers are hopeful that the fare raised in the wake of the covid restrictions will come down in the wake of this decision.
 In March 2020, the Central Government banned international flights from entering the country due to the spread of covid disease.  From July of the same year, restrictions were imposed on bio-bubble-only services in the country.  There are 1783 international flights departing and arriving from various cities in the country.  After a gap of two years, the central government has approved services to 40 foreign countries during the summer.  This is expected to lead to a large increase in the number of international passengers from April.  Earlier this month, the central government decided to renew tourist visas for all categories.  About 60 foreign airlines operate services from India.  Indian airlines also operate to 43 cities in 27 countries.

New Delhi: A two-day national strike has begun in the country. All the central trade unions, including the AITUC, are participating in the 48 – hour strike. The strike will end at midnight on Tuesday. Milk, newspapers, hospitals, ambulances, covid prevention activities, and travel of foreign tourists have been excluded from the strike.
