SSLC exams Begins; There will be 43,803 candidates in the districts
Thiruvananthapuram: This year’s SSLC exams will start today (March 31). There are 43,803 candidates appearing for the examination in the district. Of these, 43,743 are regular students and 60 are private registrants.
Vadakara Education District has the highest number of candidates appearing for the examinations. A total of 15,654 candidates are appearing for the exams at 62 centers. In the Thamarassery education district, 15,423 candidates will appear for the examination in 60 centers, and in Kozhikode 12,726 candidates will appear for the examination at 65 centers.
The theory exams will end on April 29. The IT launch will take place from May 3 to 10. Practical examination.
Auto minimum charge Rs 30; Taxi and bus fares have also been increased
Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has decided to increase auto, taxi, and bus fares. The LDF had recommended an increase in rates. Transport Minister Antony Raju told reporters that the minimum bus fare has been increased from Rs 8 to Rs 10.
The rate was later increased from 90 paise to one rupee for each kilometer. The minimum charge for an autorickshaw has been increased to Rs 30. At present, it is Rs 25. It can travel up to two kilometers on a minimum charge. It is currently one and a half kilometers. An additional charge of Rs 15 per km will be levied. At present, the rate is 12 rupees.
At present, the minimum charge for cars up to 1500 cc is Rs 175. It was raised to Rs. The minimum charge is up to 5 km. An additional charge of Rs 18 per km will be levied. The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has advised the public to be vigilant during this time as the risk of thunderstorms is high from 2 pm to 10 pm.

Proximity to electrical equipment should be avoided. It is dangerous to sit on the terrace, on high ground, or on a tree branch during thunderstorms.
Do not go on the terrace or yard to pick up clothes during thunderstorms. Do not allow children to play in the open air or on the terrace from 2 pm to 10 pm. There will be no electric current in the body of the person struck by lightning. The victim should seek immediate medical attention.
Do not go fishing or bathe in the water. Motorists should stay inside the vehicle as it will be safe during thunderstorms. The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has warned people to avoid traveling in vehicles such as bicycles, bikes, and tractors.
Wages increased under the MGNREGA workers
Thiruvananthapuram: An agreement has been reached to renew the wages of the MGNREGA workers. There will be an increase of 20 rupees in wages.
In Kerala, with the increase in the daily wage from 291 rupees to 311 rupees. The notification issued by the Ministry of Rural Development contains the figures for the wage increase of the states.
The guaranteed wages have been revised in ten states, including Kerala, Haryana, and Goa. Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram saw no increase. There has been an increase of more than five percent in the existing wages.

HSS and VHSE examinations started
Thiruvananthapuram: The second-year Higher Secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary examinations will begin today. The exam is till April 26. Higher Secondary Examinations are conducted at 2,005 centers inside and outside Kerala. All preparations for the examination have been completed.
A total of 4,33,325 students have registered for the exam. 2,005 Chief Superintendents, 4,015 Deputy Chief Superintendents, and 22,139 Invigilators have been appointed to conduct the examination.
There are 31,332 students appearing for the Vocational Higher Secondary examination at 389 centers, including 30,158 in the NSQF category and 1,174 in other categories.
The SSLC exam starts today and ends on April 29. A total of 4,27,407 students are appearing for the SSLC examination in the state this year.
