Welfare pensions will start disbursing next week

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala is all set to celebrate Onam. The distribution of various welfare pensions of Rs 3200 each for two months will start next week.

2100 crore rupees will be received for 57 lakh people. Distribution of Onam kit 92 lakh ration card holders will start on 22nd.
Employees will get salary and pension as usual. Last time bonus, special allowance and Onam advance will be ensured this time too. Last year, those with a salary of Rs 34,240 got a bonus of Rs 4000 and others got a festival allowance ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,750. An advance of Rs 15,000 was also given. All PSUs will pay a minimum bonus of 8.33 percent. Those with a salary of up to Rs. 24,000 are eligible. Others received a festival allowance of Rs 2750 last year.

Onam markets 29 onwards

1600 Onam markets of Consumerfed will be operational from 29th. 13 items of daily use items will be available with government subsidy and others at 10 to 40 percent discount. Milma will ensure Onam special kit and adequate supply of milk and milk products. The Cashew Development Corporation will also provide cashew nuts at discounted prices. Co-operative societies and Kudumbashree will open Onam market. Horticorp will organize a vegetable fair.

There will be a 20 percent discount in up to seven of Hantex’s 84 sales outlets. Textiles up to Rs. 10,000 will be provided in installments for various categories. The tourism department will take the initiative for Onam celebrations in the districts. Districts will be allocated up to Rs 35 lakh for celebrations emphasizing folk arts.

Onam Kits ready; Distribution starts on Monday

Thiruvananthapuram: Food Minister GR Anil said that the state government’s free Onam kit distribution will take place on Monday. The minister told the media that 57 lakh kits have been prepared for distribution.

He said that the best products are included in the kit and the distribution will be completed by September 7. The kits will be delivered directly by the officials to the welfare institutions.

The kit for the tribal areas will be delivered to the villages. The Minister added that the Chief Minister will inaugurate the state-level Onam Fair on 26th.

The central government has said that the content of these channels is intended to spread mutual hatred between religious groups in India. Many of the videos on the banned channels carry fake propaganda such as the government ordering religious structures to be disputed, the government banning religious celebrations, and declaring a religious war in India. Such content has the potential to create communal disunity and disrupt public order in the country, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said in a statement.
