New Delhi: The central government has banned eight YouTube channels for spreading misinformation about India. The action is alleged to have spread false information related to national security, foreign relations, etc. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Communications, the channels with 114 crore viewers and 85 lakh subscribers have been banned. Seven Indian channels and one Pakistani channel were banned.
Meanwhile, channels with a total of 114 crore viewers and 85 lakh subscribers have been banned. Lok Tantra TV (12.90 lakh subscribers), U&V TV (10.20 lakh subscribers), AM Ras V (95,900 subscribers), Gauravshali Pawan Mithilanchal (7 lakh subscribers), Sarkari Update (80,900 subscribers) Sab Kuch Dekko (19.40 lakh subscribers), etc channels from India. News Ki Dunia (97,000 subscribers) is a channel from Pakistan.
The central government has said that the content of these channels is intended to spread mutual hatred between religious groups in India. Many of the videos on the banned channels carry fake propaganda such as the government ordering religious structures to be disputed, the government banning religious celebrations, and declaring a religious war in India. Such content has the potential to create communal disunity and disrupt public order in the country, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry said in a statement.

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank has released a discussion paper on setting charges for UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, etc.) transactions.

Currently, there is no user charge for UPI transactions. However, the RBI points out that the charge can be argued to apply to UPI transactions as it is similar to IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) which enables high-speed transactions on mobile phones.

RBI also points out that it would be better to fix the charge on several floors according to the level of the amount. RBI estimates that sending Rs 800 through UPI costs Rs 2. The paper also says that income should be ensured for companies and institutions in the money transfer chain.

Blast in the mosque at Kabul; 20 deaths; Many injured

Kabul:  20 people have reportedly died in a massive explosion at a mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. About 40 people have been injured. The blast took place in the Khair Khana area of northwest Kabul on Wednesday evening.

Nearby buildings were also damaged. The imam of the mosque is also among those killed. No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast. The big explosion occurred during the evening prayer ceremony.

The investigation of the security team at the site of the explosion is continuing. The Taliban has not released an official statement on the death toll.

The explosion took place inside the mosque and it is not yet clear how many people died, Reuters reported, quoting Kabul Police spokesman Khalid Sadran. The blast happened a week after the Taliban took over the government of Afghanistan.
