Kochi:  Film-serial actress Subi Suresh passed away. She died at Rajagiri Hospital in Kochi. She was undergoing treatment for liver disease. It ended at 10 am today.

Subi was an actress who became a fan favorite through her many roles on television channels and stage. She quickly gained fame as a woman performing comedy skits. She has also participated in many stages shows in foreign countries. Subi, who shone on the stage, later came to the movies. Her first film was Kanaka Simhasanam directed by Rajasenan. She has acted in more than 20 Malayalam films such as Elsamma Enna Ankutty, Panchavarna Thatta, Drama, Happy Husbands, and 101 Weddings.

Subi was born in Tripunithura. She completed her school and college education at Tripunithura Government School and St. Teresa’s, Ernakulam. Father Suresh, mother Ambika, and brother A B Suresh.

Pathanamthitta: The police have registered a case against 12 people known to them in the case of killing a woman by trespassing into a house in Pathanamthitta. The Adoor police, who conducted an investigation following Sujata’s death statement, identified the accused. Sujata’s body will be postmortem today at Kottayam Medical College after the inquest process has been completed.

It is reported that two of the suspects who went on the run after the house- attack on Sunday evening are in the custody of the police. Based on the statements of the murdered Sujata and local residents, 12 people who are known by sight have been charged in the case. Sujatha’s sons Suryalal and Chandralal are in custody.

Police did not record the arrest of the accused even though they were taken into custody. After detailed questioning, the police have decided to record the arrest and then take evidence with them. The investigation team believes that other members of the absconding gang can be caught quickly.

A house attack in Marur on Sunday night resulted in an attack that took place on Saturday evening following a property dispute between Saran and Sandhya, natives of Eanath Kurumbakara. Sujata’s sons, who are the gang leaders, broke into Saran’s house and attacked him.

Sujatha died while undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College due to serious injuries. The police have decided to complete the post-mortem of Sujata and hand over the body to her relatives today. At the same time, as there is a possibility of conflict in Kurumbukara and Marur, more policemen have been deployed and security has been strengthened in Adoor.

Kochi: Manju Warrier appeared in court again for a hearing in the Kochi actress attack case. Manju appeared before the Principal Sessions Court where the case is being tried. Evidence is currently being examined based on the additional charge sheet.

Manju Warrier, who is the main witness in the case, was to be examined on the 16th of this month. But Dileep had approached the Supreme Court asking that the witnesses who had been examined earlier, including Manju Warrier, should not be re-examined. But the court rejected Dileep’s request.

Actress Manju Warrier appeared before the trial court today. The hearing is to ascertain the authenticity of the digital evidence against Dileep. Manju’s witness statement will be the aim of the prosecution to further confirm whether the voice in the audio clips presented by Balachandrakumar is Dileep’s.

Kochi: The state government has informed the High Court that 25 people have been exempted from confiscation proceedings to recover compensation for the violence during the lightning hartal called by the Popular Front. After it was found that they have no connection with the Popular Front organization, the action was taken as per the court order.

The court was also informed that the proceedings against those who were exempted from the confiscation proceedings have been terminated. The government also stated that their confiscated properties have been returned.

The government also informed the court that 6 lakhs have been allocated to the claims commissioner appointed to settle the losses in the hartal violence to start the office. A division bench comprising Justices AK Jayasankaran Nambiar and CP Muhammad Nias had earlier asked the government to prepare the necessary facilities for the Claims Commissioner within a month.

On September 23, 2022, the Popular Front held a hartal in the state to protest the arrest of national leaders by the NIA. On September 29, 2022, the court ordered compensation from the leaders for the destruction of public property during the violence that took place at various places during the hartal.
