Thiruvananthapuram: Show cause notice to Ciza Thomas. According to the notice, assuming the post of VC of the technical university without the permission of the government is a violation of service rules. According to the notice, Ciza Thomas has violated the Code of Conduct of Government Employees 48. The notice was issued by the Higher Education Department.

48 of the Government Servants’ Transfer Rules, it is not possible to enter another job without the prior permission of the Government. However, the notice says that Dr.Ciza Thomass took charge as the Vice Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam University of Technology without taking such permission.

H3N2 confirmed in the state; Should be Cautious: Health minister Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram:  Health Minister Veena George said that H3N2 was confirmed in the state. The health minister said that the rate of reporting in Kerala is low and people should be cautious.

At present 2 cases have been reported in the state. Both these are in the Alappuzha district. The Health Minister said that there is no need to worry and people should not lose their vigilance.

Two deaths due to the H3N2 influenza virus were reported in the country. Deaths were reported in Haryana and Karnataka. This has been confirmed by the Union Ministry of Health. Currently, 90 cases of the H3N2 virus have been reported in the country. Apart from this, eight cases of H1N1 influenza have also been reported.

Sisodia in ED custody till March 17

New Delhi:  AAP leader Manish Sisodia has been remanded in ED custody by the Delhi Rose Avenue Court in the liquor policy corruption case. The court granted permission to keep the former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister in custody for seven days till March 17.

The ED told the court that Sisodia had destroyed the phone, which was a key piece of evidence in the investigation. The ED also told the court that Manish Sisodia had made false statements about the alleged corruption. Then the ED  requested the
court that he should be kept in custody for 10 days.

At the same time, the Delhi court adjourned the hearing of Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in the CBI case related to the Delhi liquor policy to March 21.

MDMA worth 30 lakhs seized in Thrissur

Thrissur: Excise’s MDMA hunt in Thrissur Cherp. MDMA worth Rs.30 lakh was seized from the accused. Those who went to Bangalore with the money from the sale of the bike and brought MDMA were arrested.

Accused Prajit (22), Akshay (30), and Jeffin (24) said that they bought MDMA in bulk from a man living in Majestic in Bangalore and got the money for it by selling the bike.

The High Court quashed the FIR against Antony Raju

Kochi:  The High Court quashed the FIR in the case against Transport Minister Antony Raju. The action of the court is by accepting the argument of Antony Raju that according to the procedures in the case, the police do not have the authority to file a case.

A bench headed by Justice Ziyad Rahman quashed the FIR citing technical reasons. Observing that the police had no jurisdiction to file a case in the incident, the court accepted Antony Raju’s contention that due process had not been fully followed. But considering the seriousness of the case, the court also suggested go ahead with the proceedings.

The complaint was that Antony Raju, who was a lawyer, manipulated to save an Australian citizen arrested in a drug case. A charge sheet was also filed in 2008 for the incident that took place in 1994. The allegation that arose after becoming a minister led to political controversies. The minister denied the allegations and approached the High Court.

The cryptocurrency exchange is now under the purview of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act

New Delhi: Ministry of Finance notification bringing digital assets exchange including crypto-currencies under the purview of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The action is part of strengthening monitoring and control over digital asset transactions. Digital assets are defined under the Income Tax Act. The Finance Ministry’s move is expected to help make the country’s cryptocurrency market transparent.

Crypto exchanges in the country can now report suspicious transactions to the Financial Intelligence Unit of India. And the Enforcement Directorate can investigate unauthorized and illegal transactions using cryptocurrency. Also, the Ministry of Finance said that crypto users should follow the KYC and Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 as prescribed by the government.

Officials estimate that black money transactions using cryptocurrency will end with this. The Indian legal system defines money laundering as the offense of directly engaging in any process or activity related to the proceeds of crime or characterizing it as illegitimate property and knowingly attempting to assist such a person, directly or indirectly.

ED arrested Manish Sisodia

New Delhi: Manish Sisodia arrested in Delhi liquor policy corruption case. He was arrested by ED. The arrest took place after 8 hours of interrogation. Sisodia will be produced in court tomorrow. Now he is in Tihar jail. He was arrested by the CBI in a liquor policy scam.
 Sisodia was arrested after eight hours of questioning on February 26. Sisodia was in CBI Custody for the last seven days. The arrest of Sisodia is in the Delhi liquor policy scam.

Swapna revealed that the person came to meet Swapna claiming that MV Govindan had told her that the Chief Minister had promised to pay 30 crores to start a new life in another country and that she should leave Kerala.

Heat rises in Kerala, risk of sunstroke in seven districts; Disaster Management Department issued a warning

Thiruvananthapuram: The disaster management department said there is a risk of sunstroke in seven districts of the state. The sunstroke warning is based on the heat index map published by the Disaster Management Department. Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts are prone to sunstroke.

The heat index is a measure of how hot the air feels with the combination of air temperature and humidity. The Disaster Management Department also said that the heat index map will be published every day from now on.

Army against eleven mobile phone companies

New Delhi: In the context of the possibility of border conflict between India and China, the military intelligence department has warned the soldiers against using eleven Chinese-brand phones. Soldiers are advised to switch to phones from other companies as soon as possible if they are using Chinese phones.

The intelligence agency’s instructions also say that family members should also be discouraged from using phones made in countries that act against the national interest. The warning refers to 11 Chinese mobile brands known in the Indian market including OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme.

The new directive also points out that even though such a directive was given earlier, it has not been fully followed. A senior military official responded to the national media that China’s intentions and the risk of using the mobile phones it manufactures are well known.
