Actor Mohanlal is asked to appear before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in Perumbavoor on November 3rd for facing the trial on an illegal ivory possession case.

In the year 2011, the Income Tax Department conducted a raid on Mohanlal’s residence and found four ivory tusks in Thevara Kochi. After the raid, Mohanlal was charged with Wide Life Protection Act by the Forest Department. Now the Judicial First Class Magistrate had ordered the actor Mohanlal to appear before the court for facing the trial and the case will be called on November 3rd.
Previously, the court denied a petition submitted by the state government to withdraw prosecution in the case. The court order’s details remain unknown. Anju Cletus, Judicial First Class Magistrate 3, Perumbavoor had ordered the actor to appear before the Magistrate court. P.N. Krishnakumar, K. Krishnakumar, and Nalini Radhakrishnan are the other accused in the case and they are also asked to appear for the trial.
Actor Mohanlal had said that he had bought the ivory from K. Krishnakumar. The actor Mohanlal had notified the court that he possessed a certificate of ownership for the ivory sets. As a result, the assistant public prosecutor requested the withdrawal of the case.
During the proceedings at the High Court of Kerala, the state contended that the petitions filed by AA Paulose and James Mathew were of no relevance to third parties. Nevertheless, the court determined that the matter was of public interest and advised the magistrate court to proceed with the case. The case regained public attention in 2019 when the Forest Department issued a chargesheet against the actor. Alongside Mohanlal, three additional individuals have been implicated in the case.
2023 VERSION OF THE ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET 350 TO LAUNCH ON SEPTEMBER 1: LET’S CHECK OUT THE DESIGN, PRICE AND FEATURES DETAILS
The new-generation version of Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will be launched on September 1st with no significant change in design and it’s officially announced by the company.
September 1st is officially the date of launching the new version of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350z. Royal Enfield Company has officially announced the launch date and the new-generation model of the 350 won’t be having major changes in the design. The Bullet 350 is projected to fill a void in the lineup, slotting between the Hunter 350 and the Classic 350. In the various models currently, Hunter 350 holds the rank of the most affordable new-generation Royal Enfield with an ex-showroom price of 1.5 Lakhs.
DESIGN:
When looking into the design of the 2023 Royal Enfield 350 we won’t be finding any major changes because the company opted to go with their established design. According to HT Auto, the distinctive design, identified with the Bullet series, would remain substantially untouched, coinciding with Royal Enfield’s aim to maintain its own aesthetic identity. While prospective modifications may include new body panels, the traditional appearance is expected to be preserved, reflecting the approach adopted with the Classic 350 model.
The most interesting factor of the 2023 Bullet 350 is that it will be arriving with a single seat and round halogen headlamp, albeit without enclosing cover. According to various sources, the initial teaser retains the pinstripe decoration on the fuel tank, while a new tail lamp borrowed from the Classic 350 will also appear.
ENGINE:
The most significant modification is the transition to Enfield’s more modern J-platform. The 349cc engine that powered the Classic, Meteor, and Hunter 350 motorcycles was highly appreciated. The new bike will be powered by a 349cc J-platform engine rather than the 346cc UCE motor that has powered the Bullet 350 since 2010. The engine will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox. While the engine is the same as its 350cc sibling, the Bullet will have a different tuning.
FEATURES:
The front suspension will use 41 mm telescopic forks, while the rear suspension will include twin shock absorbers with 6 levels of adjustment. Also, the suspension and brake components will be the same across the two variants. According to reports, the new-generation Bullet 350 will share the same chassis as the Classic 350. The front suspension will be equipped with 41 mm telescopic forks, while the rear suspension will be equipped with twin shock absorbers with six degrees of adjustability.
Bullet lovers will be glad to hear that the manufacturer has managed to save the majority of the renowned soundtrack, despite the fact that the new BS-VI phase has been adjusted to fulfill two emission control criteria.
POWER:
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350’s 350cc engine is projected to produce roughly 20hp and 27 Nm of torque. Royal Enfield will offer the new Bullet with a J-series engine and a 5-speed transmission, similar to the Hunter 350, Meteor 350, and Classic 350. This low-vibration engine also provides good mileage to bikes.
EXPECTED PRICE:
The price of the latest generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350 motorcycle remains unknown. This bike will cost between Hunter 350 and Classic 350. In the Indian market, the ex-showroom price of this bike is estimated to range between Rs 1.50 lakh and Rs 2.25 lakh.
VIKRAM LANDER SUCCESSFULLY DETACHED FROM THE THE SPACESHIP; CHANDRAYAAN-3 IS CLOSER TO THE MOON
The critical phase of Chandrayaan 3 has been successfully completed. The lander module separated from the propulsion module so the lander started its journey to the moon and expected to land on the moon on August 23rd.
The Chandrayaan-3 project from India has reached a further milestone in its lunar exploration voyage. The spacecraft’s ‘Vikram’ lander module, which was carrying the Pragyan rover, successfully disengaged from the propulsion module on Thursday, thrusting the mission onward.
The rover will remain in orbit for several more days until the Pragyan lander and rover attempt a lunar landing on August 23.
According to the tweet of ISRO, After the separation, ISRO posted on X: “Thanks for the ride, mate! 👋’ said the Lander Module (LM). LM is successfully separated from the Propulsion Module (PM). LM is set to descend to a slightly lower orbit upon a deboosting planned for tomorrow around 1600 Hrs., IST.”
According to ISRO, “the lander will be able to soft-land at a specific lunar site and deploy the rover, which will carry out in-situ chemical analysis of the lunar surface during its mobility.” The lander and rover are equipped with research payloads to conduct experiments on the lunar surface.”
Chandrayaan-3 was launched by The Indian Space Research Organization on July 14th and Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh witnessed the victorious launch of Chandrayaan-3. If Chandrayaan-3 managed to land successfully India will be the fourth country to land on the moon after the United States, Russia, and China. To ensure a safe landing on the moon Chandrayaan-3 will use components like electronics and subsystems. The navigation sensors, propulsion systems, guidance and control systems will be also utilized for safer landing.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court has released a new style book to avoid gender abuse and gender discrimination in courts. The court has prescribed other appropriate words and phrases for about forty words used daily in court proceedings such as prostitute, hooker, whore, keep, mistress, slut.
The book was released by Supreme Court Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud. Gender discrimination and gender abuse have been going on for ages. Such discriminations also existed in the courts. The Chief Justice stated that new styles are being introduced to change that.
Some of the words that refer to sexism and discrimination are found in many judgments. Many such words hurt the dignity of individuals. Until now they were referred to in courtrooms as single mothers. But henceforth only the word mother will suffice. Forced rape will be replaced by the term rape. Instead of the words ‘Indian woman’ and ‘Western woman’, the single word ‘woman’ will suffice. Similarly, the style book also says that instead of being a faithful wife, just saying wife is enough. A number of heterosexual terms are omitted. The style book suggests sex worker instead of prostitute. The term provocative clothing no longer exists in the upper courts. Instead, the single word “clothing” will suffice.
A person who has been sexually assaulted can be referred to as either a victim or a survivor. The style book also says that the person under attack can choose which word to use.
The PDF of Style Book has been uploaded on the website of the Supreme Court. Under the chairmanship of Calcutta High Court Judge Moushumi Bhattacharya, Delhi High Court Judge Justice Pratibha M Singh, former judges Prabha Sri Devan, Geeta Mittal, and Supreme Court and Calcutta High Court lawyer Juma Sen prepared the style book.
Shimla: The death toll in Himachal rains has risen to 61. The chief minister informed that there was a loss of around Rs 10,000 crore and the rescue operation is still going on. The bodies of 4 people who were missing in the landslide were found. It is reported that around 20 people are still trapped underground, so the death toll may rise. It is estimated that 52 people have died in the rains in Uttarakhand so far.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday conducted an aerial survey of Fatehpuri and Indore in Kangra district to assess the extent of the disaster. Schools in Himachal Pradesh have been declared closed today due to heavy rains. Uttarakhand also declared a red alert today due to heavy rains.
The Yamuna’s water level has risen to 205.33 meters due to continued heavy rains in Himachal and Uttarakhand. Over 800 people have been evacuated from the nearby low-lying areas of the Beas river due to high water levels in the Pong Dam. 7 houses collapsed in Lalpani in Krishna Nagar area of Shimla due to another landslide on Tuesday afternoon. But after receiving a warning about landslides, the residents were evacuated on Tuesday morning and a major accident was avoided.
After a long wait of passengers and people’s representatives, the Railway Board ordered the extension of the Thiruvananthapuram-Madura Amrita Express to Rameswaram. The Amrita Express is being extended to Rameswaram instead of the Ernakulam-Rameswaram special run.
As the construction of the new Pamban bridge is going on, there is a possibility that the service will be provided up to Mandapam initially. The train will reach Rameswaram as soon as the bridge construction is completed in December.
It was pointed out that it was not possible to drive up to Rameswaram using a single rake, so the railway service was not run to Rameswaram. The reason put forward was that Rameswaram would not get enough time to clean the coaches when using a single rake.
But Southern Railway’s former Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM) T Shivakumar is finding a way around the matter. He gave a letter in 2022 showing that the Chennai-Rameswaram boat could be extended to Amrita Rameswaram by connecting it with the rake of Mail Express. He put forward the idea that the coaches of the Amrita Express arriving at Rameswaram in the afternoon would be used for the Rameswaram-Chennai service in the evening and the coaches of the train arriving at Rameswaram from Chennai in the morning would leave for Thiruvananthapuram as the Amrita Express in the afternoon. The board accepted T Shivakumar’s idea but the order is coming late now.
It will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 8.30 pm and reach Amrita Rameswaram at 1.40 pm the next day. The return train will leave Rameswaram at 1 PM and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 5 AM the next day. There is no significant change in timing between Thiruvananthapuram and Madurai.
