NEET Exam Irregularity;  63 students were debarred across the country

 63 students were debarred across the country due to NEET examination irregularities.  The NTA said that 30 candidates were from the examination center in Godhra, Gujarat.  Action was taken against 17 students in Bihar.

 In the NEET re-examination, out of 1563 students, only 813 appeared for the exam.  750 students did not write the exam.  In Meghalaya, 230 students, 207 in Haryana and 311 in Chhattisgarh did not appear for the examination.  In Gujarat too, none of the students appeared for the exam.

 An investigation team was attacked in Bihar.  The attack was on the CBI team.  4 people were arrested in the incident.  At the same time, the Ministry of Education has completely blamed the NTA.  NTA was blamed for the NEET UG irregularities and the exam was conducted without following the norms.  The method of awarding grace marks is unusual.  Time should be given if the exam starts late.  The Ministry of Education stated that coaching centers are behind the protest.  Coaching centers with low marks students want re-examination.  The Ministry of Education said that they are behind the protest. They are bringing students and parents to the streets.

Cow slaughter: Four arrested in Madhya Pradesh

 Morena: Four people, including two women, have been arrested for cow slaughter in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena.  A juvenile is also in custody.

 The action comes after the discovery of cow meat and cowhide from a house in Bengali Colony in Noorabad district.  Among those arrested, Asghar and Reetha were charged under the National Security Act.

 A resident of the village, Anipal Gurjar, approached the police on Friday evening, alleging that some people beat him up when he resisted trying to kill the cow.  Following this, two sacks full of meat, bones and skin were found.

 Madhya Pradesh is a state where cow slaughter has been banned due to the cow slaughter law.  Here, cow slaughter is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years.

Social welfare pension mustering from June 25

 Thiruvananthapuram: Social Security/Welfare Board pension mustering will start on 25th.  The Finance Department has ordered that the beneficiaries who received pension till 31st December 2023 should complete the annual mustering by 24th August.

 Beneficiaries can complete the process by paying the authorized service fee at Akshaya Kendras.  Those who do not will not get pension in futur

NEET question paper leak;  CBI has registered an FIR

 New Delhi: CBI registers FIR in NEET UGC question paper leak  Criminal conspiracy and fraud have been charged.  It is reported that the CBI investigation team will soon leave for Gujarat and Bihar.

 The case was handed over to the CBI on Saturday night.  The case was handed over to the CBI on the basis of a detailed investigation report submitted by the Financial Crimes Investigation Team of Bihar to the Union Education Ministry and the state government.  It has been alleged that black money was disclosed under the guise of question paper leak.  In that case, the national media is reporting that there is a possibility that the ED will take over the case.

Thiruvananthapuram: O R Kelu took oath as Minister of Scheduled Caste Welfare Department.  Governor Arif Muhammad Khan administered the oath in a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan at around 4 pm on Sunday.  OR Kelu took the oath of office.

 Kelu joins the cabinet to fill the vacancy of K Radhakrishnan who won the Lok Sabha elections.  OR Kelu is an MLA from Wayanad Mananthavadi.  OR Kelu is also the first minister of CPM from Wayanad.

 Kelu has not been given all the departments that were handled by K Radhakrishnan.  The Devaswom department was given to VN Vasavan and the parliamentary matter to MB Rajesh.  There was a lot of criticism about not giving Devaswom department to Kelu.  But the CPM explained that Kelu was not given all the departments because he was a minister for the first time.

Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh;  2 jawans martyred

 Raipur: 2 jawans martyred in an attack by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Sukhma.  The accident happened when the Naxalites planted explosive devices on the road where the truck carrying soldiers was passing.

 Commandos R Vishnu (35) and Shailendra (29) of 201 battalion of CRPF Cobra wing were killed.  The accident happened while going to buy weekly ration.  Police informed that other soldiers were injured.

Sathyabhama granted bail in RLV Ramakrishna abuse case

Thiruvananthapuram: Kalamandalam Sathyabhama granted bail in the case of racial abuse against RLV Ramakrishna.  The bail was granted by the Nedumangad SC/ST Court.  Bail was granted with strict conditions to appear whenever the police asked and not to repeat similar crimes.

 At the same time, Sathyabhama told the court that she did not deliberately make abusive remarks against RLV Ramakrishnan.  She told the court that due to the controversy, she has lost students and her livelihood has been disrupted.  Advocate Aloor, who appeared in the court for Satyabhama, clarified how the reference of black child falls within the scope of SC/ST section and white people are also in SC/ST category in North India.  But RLV Ramakrishnan and the prosecution opposed Satyabhama’s bail plea.  After the incident became controversial, a similar reaction was repeated through the media and others.  Ramakrishnan told the court that he had forgotten that the accused was a teacher.  The prosecution argued that it was necessary to interrogate the accused in custody, but the court rejected this and granted bail.

New international flight service from Thiruvananthapuram

 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A new international flight service is starting from Thiruvananthapuram.  Etihad Airways’ Thiruvananthapuram – Abu Dhabi service will operate from Saturday.  Initially the service will be five days a week.

 The flight (EY 262/263) arriving at Thiruvananthapuram from Abu Dhabi at 8.10 pm will return to Abu Dhabi at 9.40 pm.  This is Etihad’s second service on the Thiruvananthapuram-Abu Dhabi sector.

 There is a change in the existing service timings from 15  The flight (EY 264/265) arriving at Thiruvananthapuram at 3:10 AM will depart for Abu Dhabi at 4:10 AM.  With the launch of the new service, connectivity to destinations including European countries will improve.

Kuwait Tragedy: Walls constructed with flammable material, short circuit due to accident

 Kuwait City: Kuwait has launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fire that led to the mass death of workers.

 The initial report was that a cooking gas cylinder belonging to an Egyptian citizen, a security guard at the residential complex, had exploded.  However, there is no confirmation in this regard.  Some local media reported that the cause was a cooking gas leak on the ground floor of the building.  It is also said that short circuit led to the accident.

 Colonel Saeed Al Mousawi, head of the Kuwait Fire Department, said that the material used to separate the rooms in the apartment was flammable.  This caused black smoke throughout the building.  The workers ran to the stairs and died of smoke inhalation.  The door to the terrace was locked.  Moosawi said that no one could escape here.
