A doctor was shot dead in Delhi. The incident took place at Nima Hospital in Jaitpur in Kalindikunj area. The accused who came to the hospital for treatment shot the doctor. The police have identified two accused persons in the CCTV footage. After the incident, the police started searching for the accused who went absconding.

Big drug hunt in Delhi. 560 kg of cocaine worth Rs 5000 crore seized. The police informed that 4 persons have been arrested and an international drug gang has been arrested.

A huge cache of drugs was seized from Mehrauli in South Delhi. A group of four members were also arrested. Tushar Goyal, Himanshu, Aurangzeb and Bharat Jain were arrested. 562 kg of drugs and 40 kg of Thai marijuana were found from them.

The Delhi Special Cell, which seized the drug, said it is worth more than Rs 5,000 crore in the market. This is the first time that such a huge quantity of drugs has been seized from Delhi city. The Delhi Police said the target was to distribute drugs in Delhi and the capital city as demand is high during the festive season, including Diwali.

Following a tip-off received two months ago, the Special Cell had been monitoring the movements of the accused ever since. The police said that an international drug gang was behind them. The accused were initially arrested with 15 kg of cocaine. Then, during the inspection of their godown, a large collection of drugs was found.

Last Sunday also, 400 grams of heroin and 160 grams of cocaine were seized from the Tilak Nagar area of Delhi. The biggest drug bust in the national capital followed the arrest of two Afghan nationals.

Pune helicopter crash: Malayalee pilot among the dead

Pune: One of the 3 people who died in a helicopter crash in Maharashtra on Wednesday morning was a Malayali. Pilot Girish Pillai (56), a native of Kollam Kundera, died. Girish Pillai is a retired Air Force pilot. After the post-mortem, the body will be handed over to the relatives.
The helicopter crashed in Pune’s Bavdhan Budruk area. Besides Girish Pillai, another pilot Pritam Bharadwaj and engineer Paramjith were in the helicopter. The helicopter took off and crashed within minutes. The helicopter was completely burnt.

The helicopter of Delhi-based Heritage Aviation was involved in the accident. Local media reports that the helicopter took off from the helipad of Oxford Golf Club in Pune at 7.30 am. According to reports, heavy fog in the area led to the accident. It was a helicopter chartered to Raigad for the NCP leader.

Indigenous cow will be ‘Rajmata’; Maharashtra Govt

Mumbai: Ahead of the Mumbai assembly elections in Maharashtra, the Maharashtra government has given the status of “Rajmata” to the indigenous cow. Cows got Rajmata status through a resolution signed by Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan. Officials said the decision underlines the spiritual, scientific and historical importance of the cow in Indian society.

After the Cabinet meeting, official sources said, “In view of the influence of indigenous cow on Indian culture since Vedic times, utilization of indigenous cow’s milk in human diet, place of cow dung and cow urine in Ayurvedic medicine, panchagavya treatment system and organic farming practices.

“Cows have been an important part of human life since time immemorial. The cow has been given the name ‘Kamadhenu’ since ancient times due to its historical, scientific and spiritual significance. We can find different breeds of cows across the country; however, the number of native cows is rapidly decreasing,” the resolution said. “Decreasing the number of indigenous cows is a matter of concern. It is in view of this that the government declares the indigenous cow as ‘Rajmata-‘,” added the resolution.

This new decision is of the government led by Eknath Shinde. At the same time, many people supported this resolution, but the opposition leaders said that it can only be seen as an election strategy.

Practicing doctors without registration is a crime: Minister Veena George

 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Practicing without registration of doctors is a crime, said Health Minister Veena George.  Practice should be done in the state only as per existing law.  Under the Medical Practitioners Act 2021, it is an offense for those who are not registered to practice in the state.  Under the Clinical Establishment Act, it is the responsibility of the institution to ensure that those working in the hospital are suitably qualified and registered.

 All possible legal action will be taken against the culprits in the incident related to treatment by a fake doctor in a private hospital in Kozhikode.  The Minister sought the cooperation of all to implement the Clinical Establishment Act.

 The minister also informed that the government is taking measures to avoid the stay in the implementation of the Clinical Establishment Act.  In government service this duty is performed by PSC.

 In 2019, when a file came before the death of a woman after treatment by a doctor with a fake gynecology certificate in Kollam, the public thought that there was a need for a system to know if the doctor was a registered doctor.  The State Medical Council was asked to take action in this regard.

 Based on this, the Council has started the activities to make the names of registered doctors available on the Medical Council website.  The minister said that the QR code can also be made available on the Medical Council site so that only those who need it can see it.

Rajinikanth Recovers from Heart Procedure
