Kannur: The hearing of the anticipatory bail application filed by the accused Kannur Panchayat former president PP Divya to avoid arrest in the case related to the death of ADM Naveen Babu has been postponed to 24. The court adjourned the hearing of the anticipatory bail plea today.
The court directed that the police records should also be produced when the case is considered on the 24th. Naveen Babu’s wife informed him at the time. John Ralph and PM Sajitha were present.
Time was sought to raise objections to the bail petition. Adv K Viswan appeared for PP Divya. The intervention of the court is crucial as far as Divya is concerned.
The Thalassery Principal Sessions Court will consider Divya’s anticipatory bail plea. If the court does not grant anticipatory bail, it is likely that the police will take measures including arrest.
Pathanamthitta: Union Petroleum Minister and BJP leader Suresh Gopi wants to check the NOC of petrol pumps. He was talking to the media after visiting the house of ADM Naveen Babu who committed suicide. Suresh Gopi said that the NOC of petrol pumps for at least the last 25 years will have to be checked. Complaints regarding receipt of NOC for petrol pumps will also be looked into. The Minister clarified that the responsible officials of the Ministry of Petroleum are handing over the information to him and the court should take the final decision on the matter.
New Delhi: The police suspect that the Khalistan terrorist organization is involved in the massive blast that occurred near the CRPF school in Rohini Prashant Vihar, Delhi. The first footage of the blast was circulated on ‘Justice League India’, a Telegram channel linked to the Khalistan terrorist group. Following this, the Delhi Police is investigating whether a terrorist group is involved in the blast.
The Khalistan terrorist organization claimed the responsibility for the blast. ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ is written below the screenshot of the footage aired on the channel. After this Delhi Police sent a letter to Telegram. A mysterious white powder was found among the collected evidence. It is believed to be a mixture of ammonium nitrate and chloride. After the explosion, there was a strong smell of these chemicals throughout the area. The police also received CCTV footage of a person in suspicious circumstances the night before the incident.
The blast took place near the Delhi CRPF School around 7.50 am on Sunday. There was a loud explosion near the school wall. No casualty has been reported in the incident but extensive damage has been done. Due to the explosion, the windows of the nearby vehicles were also broken. Delhi Police Special Cell along with the Crime Branch are continuing to investigate the incident.
Thiruvananthapuram: Central Meteorological Department has warned that a new cyclone will form in the central-eastern Bay of Bengal and rain will continue in isolated places in Kerala.
Cyclone Dana is expected to form by Wednesday. A depression forming today over the Andaman Sea will later turn into a cyclone. Cyclone Dana will move towards Odisha-Bengal coast.
At the same time, the Central Meteorological Department informs that the rains associated with Tulavarsha will continue in Kerala. A yellow alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts where the rain will intensify today. Meteorologists also warn to be cautious as there is a possibility of black sea phenomenon and high waves along the Kerala coast. Meanwhile, there is no restriction on fishing in the Kerala coast.

Srinagar: 2 laborers were killed in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderball. The attack took place on the camps of people living at the construction site in Gund area. Two people died on the spot. Migrant workers died. Two others were seriously injured.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed grief over the death of the workers. He took to social media X to condemn the attack on innocent workers and share the grief of the families.
Thiruvananthapuram: Suspects have been arrested in the incident of theft of offering vessel from Padmanabha Swamy temple. Jaganesh, who was born in India and settled in Australia, is also among those arrested. The police arrested the accused from Haryana.
The robbery took place in the temple on October 13. The theft was in a high security area. Vessel stolen from a location guarded by both state police and central forces. The security breach is also being investigated.
Gaza City: 73 people were killed in an Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza. Many people were injured. Most of the injured are women and children. The attack took place in Beit Lahia region. It is reported that Israel’s massacre took place after a complete blockade was imposed on the area. Many buildings were also destroyed in the attack.
After killing the head of Hamas, Israel attacked relief camps and hospitals in Gaza. Israel has killed more than 450 people in northern Gaza in two weeks. The total death toll in Gaza stands at 42,519. 10 people died in the attack on the relief camp in Jabalia. More than eighty people were injured. The Israeli army attacked the house in the area and killed all five people. 16 people were killed in the collapse of the houses in the Magazi camp.
Major hospitals in northern Gaza such as Indonesian Hospital, Al Awda Hospital and Kamal Adwan Hospital were also attacked. Two people who were being treated in the intensive care unit died after the generator of Al Awda Hospital broke down.
New Delhi: Massive explosion near CRPF school in Delhi’s Prashant Vihar. The incident happened on Sunday morning at 7.50 am. No one was reported injured in the blast. Bomb squad, police and forensic team have reached the area.
The wall of the school, some nearby shops and a car were damaged in the blast. An investigation is underway to determine if there was a crude bomb blast.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced Navya Haridas as its candidate for the Wayanad constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha by-elections, where she will face off against Congress’s Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. The voting is scheduled for November 13, with results to be announced on November 23.
Who is Navya Haridas? Navya Haridas, 39, is a seasoned political figure, having served as a two-time councillor in the Kozhikode Corporation. She currently holds the position of BJP parliamentary party leader in the corporation and is the state General Secretary of the BJP Mahila Morcha. Haridas holds a BTech degree in Mechanical Engineering from KMCT Engineering College, affiliated with Calicut University.
She previously contested in the 2021 Kerala Assembly elections as the BJP candidate for the Kozhikode South constituency but was defeated by Congress candidate Ahammad Devarkovil.
