THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State service employees and teachers have been sanctioned one installment of dearness allowance.  Finance Minister K N Balagopal announced that an installment has also been sanctioned for amnesty relief for service pensioners.

All sectors including UGC, AICTE, Medical Services will get the benefit of DA and DR increase.  This will increase the annual expenditure of the government by about 2000 crore rupees.  Allowed DA and DR will start with the next month’s salary and pension.

One installment was sanctioned by DA and DR in April this year.  The Chief Minister had stated in the Assembly that the government intends to allocate 2 installments of DA and DR to employees and pensioners from this financial year onwards.

A better salary reform was implemented in Kerala despite the economic crisis during the covid period.  The benefits, including DA, were also paid in cash at the beginning of the financial year 2021-22.

Due to the unfavorable approach of the central government, the extraordinary cash crunch faced by Kerala has resulted in delay in disbursement of some employee benefits.  Minister Balagopal informed that the government is taking a committed stance in ensuring the benefits of the employees and pensioners.

Enkile Ennodu Para

Asianet is set to launch an exciting new game show, Enkile Ennodu Para, which promises fun, suspense, and engaging entertainment for audiences. Premiering on October 26, this first-of-its-kind guessing game will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM, bringing a fresh and interactive format to Malayalam television.

Enkile Ennodu Para is a guessing game where guests have to rely on their instincts, simply answering “Yes” or “No” to win. Three participants will compete over the course of three rounds, with each round presenting new challenges. By the end of each round, the guest with the lowest score will be eliminated, leaving the final contestant to compete for the grand prize.
Show Format:

  • Round 1: A guest will step onto the center podium, flanked by the two anchors—Swetha Menon and Sabu Mon, both popular faces from Bigg Boss. Each anchor will present a humorous statement, only one of which is true. The guest must guess which statement is correct and lock in their choice using the buzzer. The right guess earns a point.
  • Round 2: This is a food-based challenge. One guest at a time will select a food item hidden under a lid, after being convinced by the anchors. The guest must then eat the food within a set time, overcoming fun constraints. The successful participant earns a point.
  • Round 3: The final round involves identifying the true professional between two individuals—one real and one fake—standing beside the anchors. The guest must guess which person holds the real profession (e.g., Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher, etc.) based on the anchors’ persuasion. A correct guess earns a point.

At the end of each round, the winner will receive a prize, but there’s a twist! A comedy character will present two boxes—one containing real money and the other empty. The anchors, along with the comedy character, will try to convince the winner to choose the correct box.

Anchors and Celebrity Guests:
The show will be hosted by Swetha Menon and Sabu Mon, who will add their signature style and charisma to the program. The first episodes will feature well-known film personalities such as Surabhilakshmi, Miya, Prayaga Martin, Tini Tom, Gayathri Suresh, Prasanth, Kottayam Nazeer, Azeez, and Nobi.

Enkile Ennodu Para promises to be a unique blend of humor, suspense, and entertainment, making it an unmissable addition to Asianet’s lineup. Don’t miss the premiere on October 26 at 9 PM and catch it every Saturday and Sunday for a fun-filled evening!

National Child Rights Commission Chairman Priyank Kanungo has sent a letter to the chief secretaries of the states and Union Territories stating that the method of education in madrasas violates the constitutional rights of children. The controversial proposal was that state governments should not provide financial assistance to madrasas and should close them down. This recommendation was stayed by the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has also sent a notice to the central government on the petition.
