Tik Tok and PubG banned in Afghanistan

Kabul: The Taliban government has banned Tik Tok and PubG from allegedly misleading young people in Afghanistan. Film, music and television serials were banned by the Taliban soon after they seized power. Tik Tok was also widely accepted in Afghanistan as a leisure activity.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in a statement that the ban on applications was aimed at misleading the country’s youth. The ministry has also directed that programs containing immoral content should not be aired on television channels. News and religious programs are currently broadcast on Afghan television channels.

According to the survey, 94 percent of people in the country say their way of life has deteriorated since the Taliban seized power. In Afghanistan, with a population of 38 million, it is estimated that only nine million people have access to the Internet. Of that, four million people use social media. Facebook is a popular social media platform.
