Suicide Bombing in Pakistan: 16 Soldiers Killed, Several Injured, Homes Damaged

Islamabad: A devastating suicide bombing in Pakistan has claimed the lives of 16 soldiers and left several others, including civilians, injured. The incident took place in the North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. According to officials, the attacker rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy. The blast initially killed 13 soldiers and injured 10 others along with 19 local residents. Later, three more soldiers succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment, raising the total death toll to 16. The explosion also damaged the roofs of two nearby houses, and around ten children sustained injuries. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, though the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been known to carry out frequent attacks in the region.
