Kabul: At least 170 of 13 U.S. soldiers were killed in two suicide bombings outside the Kabul airport, the capital of Afghanistan. Twenty members of the U.S. military were killed and 10 of the injured are in critical condition. The dead included two British nationals. A suicide bomber killed at least 30 Taliban militants also. More people were injured in the both blasts.
There was a bomb threat in the airport. The United States and Britain have issued similar warnings. Thousands of Afghans flee the airport to escape. The Taliban also blamed the attack.
