Sydney: The death toll from floods caused by heavy rains in Sydney has risen to 20. It has been raining heavily on the east coast of Australia for the past week.
Tens of thousands of residents in Sydney, Australia’s largest city, have been affected by floods. Authorities instructed locals to move to relief camps as the storm and flooding continued.
The National Weather Service has issued a ’48 hour ‘warning in Sydney. 60,000 people were shifted to relief camps. The city’s Manly Dam is also reported to have collapsed.
Heavy rains across Sydney have flooded bridges and houses. The cars were washed away. Massive damage was reported in several places.
