Kampala: The government has imposed a lockdown in the East African country of Uganda due to the spread of the Ebola virus. Lockdown has been imposed in two districts. Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni announced an overnight curfew, the closure of tourist sites and places of worship, and a 21-day travel restriction in and out of the two Ebola-affected districts.

Yoweri also stated that measures to prevent the spread of the disease will soon be introduced in Mubende and Kasanda districts in central Uganda, the epicenter of the disease. Yoweri Museveni said these are not just temporary measures to control the spread of the Ebola virus and everyone should cooperate with the authorities and end this situation in the shortest possible time.
