Sofia: A bus fire in Bulgaria has killed at least 45 people, including children. The accident happened on the highway 40 km from the Bulgarian capital, Sofia. The danger is not yet clear. Nikolai Nikolaev, head of the fire safety and civil protection department under the Interior Ministry, told BNT that 12 people, including children, had died in the crash.
He added that seven people had been rescued and taken to a hospital in Sofia. The bus was traveling from Istanbul to Skopje in northern Macedonia when it crashed.
