The Supreme Court of India has sent notices to all state Chief Secretaries seeking explanations over the failure to control the stray dog menace and implement sterilization and management laws.
The bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta, and N.V. Anjaria directed the states to submit affidavits by Monday, explaining steps taken to curb the issue and enforce existing laws.
